Let us now mark the fourth anniversary of UPBRIGHT by reflecting on how far we have come. The last ‘four’ years have been international expansion ‘testaments’ on the passion and hazards of our team. Starting off with humble attempts, where the entire vision and ‘mission’ of UPBRIGHT SYNAPSE always catered towards providing opportunities for students and young entrepreneurs. The UPBRIGHT team’s meticulous efforts have helped achieve remarkable goals now.
Every startup has defining moments that shape them into what they strive to be. In the concerted effort to help UPBRIGHT reach towards its milestones, we have highlighted in the blog post these important defining moments that would help steer UPBRIGHT towards future milestones, while also reflecting on the growth UPBRIGHT achieved during the changes.
Before Leaving the Country for an International Business Trip with the Team
With UPBRIGHT’s consistent growth, we were able to widen our goals. Reaching new milestones brought us to our first international business trip in Georgia and Qatar. Thinking back to these moments, looking at our team photo where we shot our last moments before our flight, motivates me as a reminder of what we can achieve together and the strong relationships we share.
First Time Visiting India for Business Expansion
This trip marks an important stepping stone in further expanding our organization’s footprint in India’s significantly growing market. Visiting India for the first time in September 2022 in search for further business development opportunities was a critical moment.
1st Annual Trip
Our team’s annual trip in October 2023 was much needed for our relaxation and bonding as a team. It definitely was a break from our busy schedules. The picture from this trip helps to remember that work, life as well as relationships with one another are equally as important.
1st Annual Meeting
In January 2024, UPBRIGHT held its first annual meeting, celebrating milestones and setting new goals. This meeting underscored our vision and prepared us for the next phases of success.

At UPBRIGHT, we value collaboration very highly. Take, for instance, the weekly huddles in our Batticaloa office. These meetings demonstrate how we nurture a cohesive, nurturant team culture regardless of our scaling size.
ICST University’s 1st Program Live with More Than 500 Students
Perhaps the most remarkable accomplishment is the execution of ICST University’s first-ever live program with more than 500 participants. It strongly validated the growth potential that exists in the education industry and how we can enable the next crop of students.
Agreement Signature at Colombo Branch Location
In April 2024, UPBRIGHT signed the agreement for our branch situated in Colombo which is another step towards our global expansion. This is also a key development for UPBRIGHT’s presence in South Asia.
1st Meeting with Colombo Staff
In April 2024, we marked our expansion in Sri Lanka with an in-person meeting with the Colombo team. This meeting was important to determine if we had common objectives and could sustain our global business in the world which continues to become more omnipartite.
Receiving National and State Awards from SLASSCOM
In August 2024, we were privileged to be recognized at both national and state levels by SLASSCOM. These awards, as I would like to call them, turned out to be milestones in the journey of each and everyone in UPBRIGHT team without undermining the transcendence of our committment towards upholding the highest standards of industry.
Looking Ahead to the Future
As we commemorate this achievement, we would also like to extend our deepest appreciation to all who walked with us in this journey. From the beginning, where we had our first awards to the international trips, every milestone was a testament to the phenomenal work of our team. For now, it is super exciting to think about what the next four years holds for us.
We set out to empower more and more students and young entrepreneurs while making a real change in the world, which is what keeps us motivated. So here is to uncountable years of growth, further immense innovation and is undeniably immeasurable success.
We do appreciate, and thank you for the part you played in our happiest moments. And definitely together, there are further, greater and elevated unprecedented changes awaiting us all.
